Your Job The Georgia-Pacific (GP) Ventures team is seeking a Strategy & Business Development intern to join our team, this upcoming Summer 2025 in Atlanta, GA. The onsite, in-person internship opportunity will be a 12-week program running from late May to mid-August 2025. Our Team GP Ventures' vision is to accelerate GP's transformation by connecting unmet needs in our four critical capability areas (Customer Experience, Demand Fulfillment, Manufacturing, Procurement) with solutions across our portfolio of start-up ecosystems. We collect and help articulate or refine current needs across Georgia-Pacific and work with a broader external community audience to find the best solution available in the market that provide mutual benefit. What You Will Do This role will be assigned to lead the research effort for a chosen project (to be determined based on current business needs).The intern will be working closely with the business, GPV Supervisor, and other stakeholders to identify the scope and requirements, engage internal and external resources to gather insights, synthesize data, develop and present findings.Specific responsibilities may include: Coordinate / participate in discussions with business and internal partners and document results Identify market landscape, facilitate initial engagements with relevant startups to gather insights, and develop competitive analysis to highlight differentiations. Conduct research and develop POV on emerging technologies and implications to GP. Report findings to senior leadership and key stakeholders Our interns work alongside our employees to solve real problems and offer insights that benefit society through improving our products and services. These are just a few key aspects of our internship program. Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) Experience with and/or exposure to venture capital ecosystems. Strong interest in working with start-ups. Enrolled in a college degree program OR alternative program. (e.g., 4-year university, 2-year technical college program, certificate program, upskilling program, etc.) Eligible for full time employment on or before Summer 2026. Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship. What Will Put You Ahead Ability to work independently without much supervision. Demonstrated proactiveness and problem-solving skills. Research focused project/project mgmt. experience Demonstrated technology competency and emerging technology knowledge Business functional knowledge (e.g., supply chain, eCommerce, procurement, manufacturing, customer experience, etc.) At Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
