Research Attorney

As a Clinical Research Attorney for University Hospitals the responsibilities are as follows:

Responsible for handling legal matters delegated by Assistant General Counsels, Associate General Counsels, Deputy General Counsels and/or General Counsel, including handling legal transactions and providing legal support to UHHS and its subsidiaries Reviews, revises and negotiates contracts. Experience with contract negotiation directly related to clinical research preferred, including Clinical Trial Agreements, Data Use Agreements and Material Transfer Agreements.

Conducts legal research and writing and supervises paralegal research projects

Handles administrative responsibilities delegated by Deputy General Counsels and/or General Counsel, including corporate record oversight, Law Clerk hiring and orientation process and On-Call Manual updates

As requested, may serve on hospital committees such as Ethics Committee, Graduate Medical Education Committee and/or other applicable committees designated by the Deputy General Counsel and/or General Counsel
