Your Job The Strategic Sourcing and Procurement (SS&P) team within Georgia-Pacific is seeking an MBA intern to join their team, this upcoming Summer 2025 in Atlanta, GA. This will be a 12-week hybrid internship opportunity that runs from late May to mid-August 2025. Our Team The Strategic Sourcing and Procurement (SS&P) team is responsible for managing the procurement of goods and services, ensuring that purchases align with the company's strategic goals and operational needs. We handle various procurement activities, including sourcing, negotiating contracts, and purchasing materials. The SS&P team works to standardize processes and adopt best practices to improve efficiency and reduce costs. From the past couple of years SS&P has gone through a strategic transformation to further seek and leverage market, industry, and category knowledge to advance and develop mutually beneficial preferred partnerships with our customers and suppliers and support continual transformation for our businesses. We leverage tools and systems for sourcing and contracting and utilize analytics and reporting to drive informed procurement decisions. Additionally, the SS&P team is involved in the adoption of new procurement systems, which brings key changes to their roles, including improvements in purchase order processing and invoice cycle times. What You Will Do This is a project-based internship. The project is based on a real business need and will be determined closer to the internship start date. Our interns work alongside our employees to solve real problems and offer insights that benefit society through improving our products and services.
