JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: The Becker Lab at The Pennsylvania State Universityis recruiting aPostdoctoral Scholartowork on collaborative projects linking amphibian host-microbial interactions with extreme climatic events such as droughts.We are looking for ascientist whois excited about analyzing available field and experimental data to uncover mechanisms of disease transmission under variable climatic anomaly scenarios. The selected scientist will contribute with laboratory work, data analysis, and manuscript writing. As such, we seek an applicant with diverse and strong quantitative background, including bioinformatics, spatial modeling, and disease ecology. Education and Experience Successful applicants will have a Ph.D. in Biology, Ecology & Evolutionary Biology, or a related field, strong writing skills, the ability to work independently and collaboratively, and a strong record of, and interest in continuing, mentorship and outreach.
