Pilots and Development, Security, and Operations (DEVSECOPS) Event Analyst

SUMMARY:

This position is a(n) Exempt position, supporting the 16 AF SPPFS. The Pilots and Development, Security, and Operations (DEVSECOPS) Event Analyst supports missions and functions for 16 AF Service needs and Air Forces Cyber (AFCYBER). This role is crucial in ensuring the security and efficiency of the software development lifecycle by integrating security practices into every phase of development and operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

• Continuously monitor and analyze security events and incidents across development and operational environments; adjust meet the DEVSECOPS requirements
• Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify potential threats and weaknesses in the system; Coordinate and manage incident response activities, ensuring timely and effective resolution of security incidents.
• Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to integrate security practices into the software development lifecycle; Ensure compliance with relevant security standards and regulations, conducting regular audits and reviews.
• Design test plans and writing scenarios that drive testing efforts for operational employment; Develop and implement automated security controls and monitoring tools to enhance the security posture of the organization
• Provide training and guidance to development and operations teams on security best practices and protocols.
• Develop presentations to A8 leadership as well as HQ leadership to inform on critical timelines, operational and/or funding limitations that could impact development, test, delivery and integration of capabilities where GO level engagement may be required.
• Prepare detailed reports on security incidents, vulnerabilities, and risk assessments for management and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

3-5 years of experience in a DEVSECOPS, security analyst, or related role; AFLCMC HNCO or AFLCMC HNCP experience preferred

Experience with cloud security and DevOps tools (e.g., AWS, Azure, Docker, Kubernetes), preferred

Cyber Experience, preferred

Education Requirements:

Bachelor's in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field

Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or equivalent, preferred

Additional Requirements:

Must be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance and meet other eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
