SUMMARY

This position is a fulltime Non-Exempt (hourly) position, supporting the ARNG Mission Command Training Support Program (MCTSP). TheJoint Land Component Constructive Training Capability (JLCCTC)Simulation Technicianprovides support to the MTC and other training facilities/deployed sites (as required).

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:



  • Serves as the local hardware, software and functional expert for one of the following:
  • FIRESIM/ExCIS, BSWS, JDLM, MUSE SENGEN, or WARSIM.
  • Answers questions concerning operation of the system, troubleshoots problems and provides configuration management on software/hardware systems.
  • Provides formal classroom instruction to BSWS operators prior to constructive exercises.
  • Maintains setup, testing and troubleshooting guides for SME system.
  • Troubleshoots computer hardware, software, and basic networking configurations.

QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Minimum of 1 year experience in the LVC-G field. Demonstrated experience in Live, Virtual, Constructive, Gaming (LVCG) federations, models, systems, tools and Mission Command Systems (MCSs)
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in setting up systems, troubleshooting, and software configuration issues. Military experiences preferred. Simulation experience preferred.
  • Must have an understanding of Windows OS and Linux OS.
  • Experience working in a high security environment and management of classified equipment; Understand the Risk Management Framework (RMF) certification and accreditation process and Information Assurance (IA) requirements.
  • Must meet DOD 8570.01-M Baseline and Computing Environment (CE) Certification Requirements Level II. Must meet all IA training and reporting requirements.
  • Must be able to successfully pass the Defense Information System Agency (DISA) Information Systems Security (INFOSEC) Awareness compact disk--read-only memory (CD-ROM) course as a minimum training requirement.
  • Reports directly to the SST Lead.



EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum of AA/AS degree in relevant field (BA/BS preferred).

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:



  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance and meet other eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain CompTIA Security + certification.
