SUMMARY: These positions are full time Exempt (salary) positions, providing support for all six ARNG MTCs in the ARNG Mission Command Training Support Program (MCTSP). The Exercise Planners shall provide subject matter expert support in all phases of exercise planning and the development and implementation of an effective, reliable, exercise program that will be systematically and periodically updated. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Provides exercise planning support at the respective ARNG MTC IAW the MCTSP Exercise Planners Guide.
- Interacts and effectively communicates with corporate and customer management to determine project scope, planning needs, and reporting requirements.
- Maintains working relationship with OST/EST, HST, IEWTPT, and all exercise participants to develop and achieve training requirements.
- Develops, maintains and verifies unit level MTC scenarios.
- Coordinates / facilitates realistic theater level training scenarios.
- Participates in mission planning activities and prepares materials as needed
- Integrates threat OE into scenarios
- Develops OPFOR Concept of the Operation
- Coordinates with other DoD users for mission planning materials
- Ensures all Warfighting Functions are included and synchronized throughout the training event
- Coordinates and communicates event changes across all stakeholders.
- Ensures that the exercise stimulates commander's training objectives.
- Defines requirements, risk, schedule, and change management.
- Works closely with client project/program office to document the need for changes to requirements; and communicates change estimate as needed.
- Ensures delivery of reports.
- Analyzes progress and develops necessary recovery plans and/or alternatives.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least ten (10) years' experience with military or DOD to include experience in the conduct of exercise planning and training. Experience in simulation training and simulation programs used for Army Training, scenario development experience.
- At least 2 years' experience with exercise planning using JELC process
- Experienced in large constructive exercises, multi-domain events, and implementation of JLCCTC.
- Former FA57 qualified, preferred
- Demonstrable experience in operational planning and simulations using JLCCTC stimulating MCIS.
- Strong understanding of the LVCG concepts, preferred
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: BA/BS degree, subject immaterial ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance and meet other eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
