A Brief Overview

Serving at our health system's most advanced and complex cardiac catheterization laboratory, the UH Cleveland Medical Center Cath Lab performs a variety of state of the art procedures giving our team a well-rounded experience in coronary, peripheral, and structural heart disease including hybrid structural and aortic interventions.

As a Radiology Tech, you will play a vital role on our Cardiac Cath Lab team at our Cleveland Medical Center, providing diagnostic imaging services to help our physicians diagnose and treat a variety of medical conditions.

On-Call requirements:

8-10 days of call in that 6 weeks, which includes a weekend.

Summer and Winter holiday

40 minute call back for emergencies

What You Will Do



  • The staff must demonstrate the ability to assess patients' status and identify each patient's requirements relative to their age specific needs.
  • The Radiologic technologist assists in the acquisition of patient history and entering into Hemodynamic system and/or EMR.
  • Prepping patient and attaching leads, Defibrillator Pads, BP cuff and setting up the sterile field.
  • Assisting the Physician at the table maintaining sterile procedure. Responsible for availability of supplies and equipment keeping in mind fiscal responsibility.
  • Responsible for all duties related to Radiation Safety and Protection.

  • Complies with all policies and standards.
  • For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation.
  • Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
