JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: The Chemistry Department within the Eberly College of Science at The Pennsylvania State University has a continuing need for qualified Teaching Assistants to assist with a variety of courses throughout Summer 2021 and the 2021/2022 academic year. Our needs primarily involve general and organic chemistry laboratories, but there are opportunities that involve other courses, including lecture courses and online courses. Positions typically involve assignments with a two-semester commitment. We invite applications, which will be reviewed on a continuing basis, from qualified applicants preferably with at least a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or an equivalent knowledge based on experience. Qualified applicants should submit a cover letter, resume, and contact information for three professional references. This is a limited-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with a possibility of re-funding. The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters.
