JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Department of Biology, at The Pennsylvania State University, invites applications for appointment to the rank of Assistant Research, Associate Research or Research Professor, dependent onqualifications.

Qualified candidates may do research in the diverse research areas of cell and molecular biology, ecology, evolution and quantitate biology. Required qualifications include a demonstrated interest in and capacity to do research publishable in top-tier journals and a Ph.D. in biology or closely related field.

These positions are non-tenure track appointments. Applications for open positions must be submitted electronically and include:

These are term appointments with an initial appointment of one-year from date of hire with a possibility of re-funding. Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the positions have been filled.

Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR). The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters.
