JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: The laboratory of Professor Squire J. Booker in the departments of Chemistry and Biochemistry & Molecular Biology at the Pennsylvania State University (University Park, PA) and the Howard Hughes Medical Institute seeks to fill a postdoctoral research position in the broad areas of enzymology, molecular biology, structural biology or chemical biology. The position will involve characterization of iron-sulfur-containing enzymes from eukaryotic organisms, including humans, and will require a Ph.D. in a relevant area of chemistry, biochemistry or life science. Candidates with expertise in mass spectrometry-based proteomics and/or mass spectrometry-based metabolomics, and mammalian cell culture are particularly encouraged to apply. The cover letter and/or curriculum vitae should describe prior training and other qualifications for the positions, and include a list of publications and references. Following a screening of these initial application materials, appropriate candidates will be contacted by email and asked to arrange for letters of recommendation to be sent so that they might be considered further. This is a limited term appointment for one year from the date of hire with the possibility of refunding.
