JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Office of Digital Learning in the College of Arts and Architecture invites applications for one or more part-time lecturer positions. These are one semester, non-tenure track appointments with the possibility of reappointment. . To be considered for these positions, applications must include a cover letter and curriculum vitae (with the names and contact information of two references). Review of applications will begin immediately and will continue until the positions are filled.

Job Duties:

  • In addition to teaching, lecturers may be asked to participate in the development of web-based courses.

  • Part-time lecturers will normally teach one to two sections of the course per semester.

Requirements and qualifications:

  • A Master's degree or enrollment in a Ph.D. program in a relevant field of study is required.

  • Online teaching experience is highly desirable.

  • Employment with the University will require successful completion of background check(s) in accordance with University policies.

Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR). The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters.
