JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Penn State Hazleton is accepting applications for a Part Time Lecturer in Physical Therapy Assistant. Duties include teaching one to three undergraduate level courses(1-3 credits each; up to a maximum of 9 credits per semester) each spring and/or fall semester depending on expertise and needs. Additional duties may vary by assignment. Successful candidates will have a background in orthopedics and be able to instruct courses within the Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) program. Examples of courses include: PTA Procedures I and II, Human Musculature and Functional Anatomy, Therapeutic Exercise, and Pathophysiology. Teaching assignments may require teaching day and/or evening as needed. PT120 ( Human Musculature and Functional Anatomy ) and PT150 ( Physical Therapist Assistant Procedures I ) In accordance with Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE) criteria, successful candidates will have a minimum of three years of full-time (or equivalent) post-licensure clinical experience in physical therapy practice. In addition, the candidate will hold an active, unrestricted PT license or PTA license/certification in any United States jurisdiction and be in compliance with the state practice act in Pennsylvania. Qualifications:Licensed Physical Therapist or Physical Therapist Assistant with a minimum of master's degree in a related field from an accredited institution. Teaching assignments may require teaching day, evening, or weekend classes, as needed. Most teaching assignments will require in-person instruction, with occasional opportunities for remote teaching.
