Summary/Objective:

As a Supply Chain Financial Analyst, you will play a critical role in optimizing supply chain operations by analyzing financial data, assessing risks, and providing strategic insights. Your expertise in evaluating foreign exchange rates, commodities, and inventory levels will directly impact decision-making processes.

Essential Functions:

  1. Financial Analysis:
    • Analyze financial data related to supply chain activities, including costs, revenues, and profitability.
    • Evaluate the impact of foreign exchange fluctuations on procurement costs and pricing strategies.
    • Monitor commodity markets and assess their influence on raw material costs.
  2. Inventory Management:
    • Collaborate with inventory planners to optimize stock levels.
    • Conduct inventory valuation and reconcile discrepancies.
    • Identify slow-moving or obsolete inventory and recommend corrective actions.
  3. Risk Assessment:
    • Assess supply chain risks related to currency volatility, commodity price fluctuations, and inventory shortages.
    • Develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
  4. Forecasting and Budgeting:
    • Prepare financial forecasts for supply chain expenses.
    • Assist in budgeting processes, considering currency exposure and commodity trends.
  5. Reporting and Insights:
    • Generate regular reports on supply chain performance, highlighting key metrics.
    • Provide actionable insights to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance profitability.
  6. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Work closely with procurement, logistics, and operations teams to align financial goals with supply chain objectives.
    • Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives.

Supervisory Responsibility

This role does not have any supervisory responsibility upon hiring.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, and the expected work hours are 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday; weekend and overnight work is occasionally required.

Travel

Minimal travel is expected for this position.

Required Education and Experience

  1. Minimum 3 years' experience in Finance role
