Position Summary:

The Dye Sublimation Operator is responsible for all aspects of operating the digital printing equipment to production and quality standards.

Shift: Monday - Friday, 2:30pm - 11:00pm.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:



  • Operate digital print equipment and the software necessary for print operations.
  • Complete jobs according to customer specifications in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Monitor production output throughout the run for quality.
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal printing conditions.
  • Ensures materials for the job are in stock and available for production.
  • Properly document production information to account for all labor and materials consumed on a job.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Properly execute pressroom Safety Procedures
  • Act as a resource to Apprentice and Feeder
  • Troubleshoot with the help of the Lead Operator
  • Work overtime as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Mandatory Qualifications:



  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Proficient in computer applications, including Mac and Windows operating systems.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Previous print industry experience.
  • Experience using an ERP system.
  • Bilingual or multilingual proficiency in any language (including ASL) preferred.


Knowledge and Skills:



  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to follow documented procedures.
  • Ability to read and understand oral/written instructions proficiently.
  • Ability to read and understand tape measure and other measuring equipment.
  • Math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and fractions.
  • Reliability through attendance, punctuality, and attention to workstation.
  • Demonstrate a positive safety attitude.


Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:



  • Frequent walking and standing.
  • Manual dexterity for repetitive work.
  • Frequent reaching, bending, climbing, kneeling, crouching, and stooping.
  • Travel: N/A
  • Chemicals: Yes
  • Ability to lift, push and pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to visually inspect all work for defects and distinguish color.


The national pay range for this role is $19.00 - $21.00 per hour. The pay range may be slightly lower or higher based on the geographic location. The actual pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift, and location. In additional to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include participation in a bonus, commission or incentive program.
