Position Summary:

In this role you will work closely with Account Executives and Account Managers to plan print jobs. You will be utilizing Monarch software to determine job requirements and create plans to execute the work. Using your knowledge and expertise you will make the most cost-effective decisions to plan the jobs through the plant and produce high quality work delivered on time to our customers.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:



  • Plan jobs using electronic layout software
  • Assign machines, equipment, and labor to production tasks, optimizing resource utilization to meet production goals.
  • Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, components, and finished goods to avoid shortages or excess stock.
  • Identify and address potential bottlenecks or capacity constraints, adjusting schedules as needed.
  • Examine specifications, layouts, pricing and schedules to determine the most cost-effective production methods.
  • Recommend cost savings and ideas for process improvement.
  • Use enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems to input and update production plans, ensuring accurate data availability.


Skills and Knowledge:



  • Print estimating or planning experience and/or education in graphic communications or related field
  • Knowledge of print production processes (prepress, press and bindery) in sheet fed offset and digital print environment
  • Effective communication skills with customers, vendors and team members.
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Strong computer skills Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Experience with Monarch software helpful
  • Team player with a customer focus, positive attitude and drive for success.


The national pay range for this role is $60,000 - $80,000/year. The pay range may be slightly lower or higher based on the geographic location. The actual pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include participation in a bonus, commission or incentive program.
