About the Role

Culmen International is seeking a Local Community Director for a future Health and Human Services opportunity.

The Local Community Director oversees the planning and implementation of outreach strategies. They are primarily responsible for connecting people in the broader community by creating sponsorship agreements and cultivating relationships with businesses, individuals, and other relevant organizations.



What You'll Do in Your New Role

    Oversee the day-to-day operations of the facility, ensuring compliance with ORR guidelines and regulations. Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the safety, well-being, and proper care of unaccompanied minors.
  • Build relationships with local community organizations, government agencies, and stakeholders to foster collaboration and support for the facility and its residents. Facilitate community engagement initiatives, including cultural events, educational programs, and volunteer opportunities.
  • Collaborate with ORR and other relevant agencies to coordinate services and resources for unaccompanied minors. This may include medical care, education, legal services, mental health support, and recreational activities.
  • Ensure compliance with ORR policies and procedures, maintaining accurate records and documentation. Prepare reports on facility operations, resident demographics, and service outcomes as required by ORR.
  • Develop and implement emergency response plans to address potential crises or incidents within the facility. Coordinate with appropriate authorities, agencies, and stakeholders to ensure the safety and well-being of the minors.
  • Work independently, react to change productively, and handle other essential tasks as assigned while exercising a high level of confidentiality


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, business, or related field.
  • Minimum of (3) three years within non-profit fundraising or outreach activities.
  • Must be computer literate.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age at the time of hire.
  • Proficiency in English and Spanish (verbal and written) preferred.
  • Possess a valid Driver's License.
  • Possess a clear Tuberculosis test.
  • Ability to successfully clear a background check.
  • Ability to successfully clear a drug screening.
  • Provide immunization documentation for Tdap, Varicella, MMR, Hepatitis A and B, Varicella.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer.
