About the Role

Culmen International is in search of an experienced Biller/Project Control who is also adept at project control support and can assist with federal government contracting programs.



What You'll Do in Your New Role

Prepare all monthly invoices and required support in a timely and accurate manner (T&M, CP, FP). Run and analyze project status and other reports for invoice preparation (proactive funding management). Ensure compliance with billing terms and the completeness of required invoice backup. Work to resolve any invoicing issues. Communicate clearly and coordinate with PMs for invoice review and approval, ensuring bills are sent out on time according to the billing schedule.

Work with Program Managers to secure approval of invoices and the support needed to dispatch bills within the billing schedule. Interact and communicate effectively with team members throughout the billing process to ensure timely receipt of billing information. Enter invoices into the customer's web-based invoicing systems, including WAWF, IPP, Bill.com, Delphi eInvoicing system, or any other customer-requested site. Interact and communicate effectively with customers to resolve billing issues promptly. Review and reconcile unbilled & AR balances by contract.

Track payments and collaborate with Program Managers and customers to follow up on payments. Ensure that 75% letters/responses to customers are sent out on time by working with Program Managers and Contracts.

Review Project status reports to verify correct revenue calculation. Prepare contract close-out analysis and generate final invoices. Maintain billing folders and contract documents for assigned projects. Collaborate with Contracts for proactive project setup management. Be responsible for EAC on Fixed Price Contracts.

Assist with financial audits or any other financial reports requested by management. Provide assistance with ICS schedules.



Required Qualifications

    3+ years' experience as an accountant and/or biller for multiple government contracts.
  • Experience working within Deltek Cost Point software
  • Experience supporting general accounting functions and an understanding of FAR, DFARS, and other state and federal regulations.
  • Independent worker who is a problem solver, ready to take initiative immediately.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities to meet all deadlines and cycles is essential.
  • Possess advanced skills in Microsoft Excel


Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in related field
  • Experience with Unanet software
  • Project Control experience within federal government

The determination of compensation at Culmen International, LLC is based on various factors such as location, the individual's unique combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, clearance level, experience, internal equity, contract-specific affordability, and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $68,000 - $85,000 annually. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Culmen's total compensation package for employees.
