Position Summary



The lab technician will work closely with faculty, staff and students to assist in the proper upkeep and maintenance of a busy undergraduate biology lab.



Position Responsibilities




  • Preparation of materials needed for the laboratory exercises
  • Maintaining all living materials used in the advanced courses
  • Ordering supplies for the various laboratory exercises
  • Trouble-shooting laboratory equipment issues
  • Overseeing the cleanliness of the teaching laboratories
  • Maintaining inventory
  • Assisting professors [e.g., photocopying examinations, proctoring]



Experience & Educational Background :



BA degree; preferably in Biology or Biochemistry



Skills & Competencies :



Attention to details, ability to work independently



Salary Range:



1199 Laboratory Technician New Hire rate: $26.91

1199 One Year of Service rate: $27.46
