Overview

Provide administrative support and benefits coordination for the Company benefit plans.



What you will be doing

    Provides day-to-day administrative support, and benefits coordination, for Flatiron benefits plans.
  • Administers various employee benefit programs, such as medical, dental, and life insurance, to ensure compliance with all State and Federal laws and insurance regulations.
  • Administers employee leaves of absences pursuant to applicable leave laws, (e.g., FMLA).
  • Resolves employee concerns and answer questions regarding benefits.
  • Processes enrollments and maintains employee benefit files and enrollment rosters for health & welfare and retirement plans.
  • Processes termination forms to determine COBRA, life conversion and 401(k) qualifications.
  • Processes various governmental forms (e.g., qualified medical support notices, etc.)
  • Provides support to departmental leadership as needed, including Open Enrollment, plan audits, and weekly reporting to vendors.
  • Assist with monthly benefit plan billings and payables.
  • Audit benefits deductions in the payroll system against vendor systems to ensure integrity of data.
  • Provides recommendations for process/system improvements on an ongoing basis.
  • May assist with administering and championing Company wellness initiatives.
  • Maintains knowledge of Company's values and strategic plan.
  • Support published corporate policies.
  • Perform additional assignments per management's direction.


What we are looking for

Education and/or Experience

  • 1+ years in Benefits, Human Resources or related experience required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred.
  • Experience working with JD Edwards E1 and/or bswift Benefits Admin platform, strongly preferred.
  • Experience producing high quality written communications.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Bi-lingual (Spanish) capabilities highly preferred.
  • High level of ethics and integrity required.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality with employee personal information.
  • Excellent customer service skills required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Ability to be approachable and welcoming to questions from business support administration, HR field team and employees at all levels of the company.
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Intermediate level skill in computer processing and data entry.
