Overview

Position Overview: VTG is seeking a talented and experienced Software Engineer to join our dynamic and innovative team in multiple locations across D.C Metro Area. As a Software Engineer, you work closely with cross functional teams, including product managers and fellow engineers. You will contribute to the entire software development lifecycle, from ideation to deployment.


What will you do?

  • Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to gather and analyze software requirements.
  • Design and develop high-quality software solutions using best practices and industry standards.
  • Write well-structured, efficient, and maintainable code in one or more programming languages.
  • Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure the reliability and quality of the software.
  • Identify and implement software optimizations and performance enhancements.
  • Participate in architectural discussions and propose innovative solutions to technical challenges.
  • Contribute to documentation, including technical specifications, system design, and user manuals.

Do you have what it takes?

  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph required.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Software Engineer.
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, C++, Python or JavaScript.
  • Experience with software development methodologies such as Agile or Scrum.
  • Knowledge of databases and SQL, and ability to write efficient database queries.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively present complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Pay Range: VTG's estimated starting pay range is $80,000 - $210,000 which is a general guideline for the geographic location. When extending an offer, VTG also considers work experience, education, skill level, market considerations and may possibly include contractual requirements which may cause an offer to fall outside of this range.
