Position Description: Ryerson has an opportunity for a Warehouse Operator on 2nd shift. As a Warehouse Operator, you are responsible for pulling and staging material for production orders. Successful candidates will be enrolled in a registered apprenticeship program as part of their onboarding and new-hire training. Roles and Responsibilities * Operating an overhead crane and or/forklift to move skids of material or plate * Production of quality parts to customer specifications * Staging of material for daily production runs * Truck unloading and loading * Proper completion of shipping/receiving paperwork * Work order confirmation on computer (SAP) * Working safely as outlined during training and using prescribed safety equipment, including PPE * All other duties as assigned or duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice Position Requirements: * Some experience on a Forklift and/or Overhead Crane * Experience working in a metals warehouse setting preferred SAP experience is a plus * Must be able to accurately use measuring tools, specifically a tape measure, micrometer, and caliper. * Must be a team player We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and do not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, sex (including gender identity, sexual orientation or preference, and pregnancy), age, national origin, religion, disability or genetic information, marital status, status as a veteran, or any other federal, state or local protected class or artificial barrier.
