Overview

VTG is looking for a IT Project Manager (ITPM) in Chantilly, VA.


What will you do?

This role is a hybrid role of Technical PM and Agile. Candidate needs a thorough understanding of Agile methodologies and IT Project Management. AWS and S3 implementation and maintenance, and DevOps best practices in a serverless environment.

  • Lead the scrum team in using Agile methodology and scrum practices
  • Helping the Product Owner and development team to achieve customer satisfaction
  • Lead the scrum and development teams in self-organization
  • Remove impediments and coach the scrum team on removing impediments
  • Help the scrum and development teams to identify and fill in blanks in the Agile framework
  • Resolve conflicts and issues that occur
  • Supporting and educating the Product Owner, especially with respect to grooming and maintaining the product backlog
  • Assist in the collection and documentation of user's requirements, development of user stories, estimates and work plans
  • Guide team development efforts towards successful project delivery
  • Provide technical leadership to teammates through coaching and mentorship
  • Maintain high standards of software quality within the team by establishing good practices and habits
  • Identify and encourage areas for growth and improvement within the team
  • Participate in peer-reviews of solution designs and related code
  • Package and support deployment of releases
  • Aim to deliver scalable frameworks and solutions to fit with customers' long-term vision and goals
  • TS/SCI with poly required

Do you have what it takes?

5+ years of related IT experience
BS Degree (Technical)
TS/SCI with poly required
  • Experience leading scrum teams using Agile methodology and scrum practices
  • Ability to assist in the collection and documentation of user's requirements, development of user stories, estimates and work plans and guide team development efforts towards successful project delivery
  • Provide technical leadership to teammates through coaching and mentorship
  • AWS and S3 implementation and maintenance, and DevOps best practices in a serverless environment is preferred but not required
