Position Description:


Specialty Metals Processing facility in Stow, Ohio, part of the Ryerson family of companies, has an opportunity for an Operations Manager.

The Operations Manager drives a culture of commitment to safety, quality, service, and productivity. As a leader, the Operations Manager encourages and gains engagement in projects that drive lean methodology, utilizing operating procedures, standardized work instructions, and job safety analysis.
The Operations Manager role will oversee the day-to-day operations and provide strategic direction to meet the business's commercial, operational, and financial needs.

This position is responsible for sitewide operational leadership and will establish strategic plans to achieve world-class performance as a highly efficient and profitable business unit. Reporting to the General Manager - Coil Processing

Key Responsibilities
Maintain a safe work environment that complies with company and industry standards.
Maintain high-quality assurance standards and establish processes in compliance with company and industry standards.
Drive process excellence in every step of the production process, driving continuous improvement to all site metrics (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, Cost, and People).
Develop operational procedures and delegate responsibilities for effectively utilizing assets to maximize productivity and meet customer needs.
Accountable for operational expenses with the expectation of delivering on budget targets.
Meet or exceed the monthly Revenue, EBITDA, and OPEX goals.
Establish LEAN manufacturing principles and drive continuous improvement.


Position Requirements:


Bachelor's Degree and 7+ years of experience leading high-performing teams.
Strong communication skills to communicate with shop-floor employees, customers & executives, both written and verbal.
Be a champion for change, introducing innovative solutions.
Ability to analyze complex situations and make timely decisions.
Ability to manage and thrive within ambiguity - in an extremely fast-paced environment.
Well-developed interpersonal skills with the ability to establish relationships with customers and co-workers built on trust and integrity.
