Who You Are:

The ACATS Programmer shall provide technical support for ACATS Program at ALC, under the direction of the Senior Programmer.

What You'll Do:

The ACATS Programmer tasking includes, but is not limited to:

  • Perform all tasking assigned by the Senior Programmer.
  • Perform an incumbent-test program review IAW ALC ACATS Process Guide PG-85-00-880-A of all TPSs and submit updated TPSs to Senior Programmer for Quality Review.
  • Accompany the ACATS PM and/or the Senior Programmer to product line Engineering and/or Technical Services meetings, as required.
  • Independently troubleshoot and repair defective ACATS systems to the lowest repairable unit level and return tester to full operational status with four (4) hours of failure notification from the ACATS PM during active testing periods and ten (10) business days during non-active testing periods.
  • Develop all aspects of an ACATS project from start to finish with minimal supervision, such as: developing or modifying an ACATS test program from receipt of request to its successful integration and operation
  • Develop TPSs for moderate to complex electrical/electronic devices and aircraft systems and modifications.
  • With an ACATS Operator present, operate the ACATS test equipment as requested in an effort to assist an understaffed product line in completing testing on time.
  • Complete all aspects of an ACATS TPS development per GENES 13620.01 (series) from inception to successful implementation.
  • Complete a Test Adaptor Cable (TAC) cable design draft IAW Technical Data Package
  • Process Guide, CGTO PG-85-00-2290-A for submission to the ALC Engineering Services
  • Division (ESD) Graphics Section for draft drawing conversion to an approved drawing.
  • Research and develop a parts list, to include item part number, quantity, and three (3) suggested sources of supply (when available) for ordering parts required for TPS build and/or modification.
  • Incorporate the list of parts (connectors, wire, shrink tubing, etc.) necessary to build TAC's into drawing drafts for submission to Graphics Department.
  • Complete a TAC cable design draft in accordance with Technical Data Package Process
  • Guide, CGTO PG-85-00-2290-A for submission to the ALC ESD Graphics Section for draft drawing conversion to an approved drawing.
  • Perform other Engineering duties as required.

What You'll Bring:

  • Minimum two (2) years of experience with Associate Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Electronics Technology; or military/civilian electronics/avionics maintenance trade school and two (2) years hands-on experience in testing and troubleshooting wiring systems and/or electronic assemblies to component level using manual and automatic test equipment.
  • Minimum two (2) years hands on experience in testing and troubleshooting wiring systems and/or electronic assemblies to component level using manual and automatic test equipment
  • Experience using standard electrical/electronic test equipment such as Multi-meters, Meggers, Oscilloscopes, Network Analyzers, Time Domain Reflectometer, and Frequency Domain Reflectometer.
  • Ability to use standard wiring hand tools, including but not limited to strippers, crimpers, and soldering tools, used in the fabrication of wire harnesses.
  • Ability to design and draw wiring items as needed such as an ACATS TACs with a complete
  • parts list.
  • Ability to perform ACATS testing and programming functions with minimal supervision.
  • Working computer knowledge and experience to be able to assist installing/maintaining/calibrating ACATS equipment software programs.
  • Successful results of preemployment screenings, including federal background check, MVR, and drug screen
  • Comply with company drug and alcohol policy.
  • Be authorized to work in the US or will be authorized by the successful candidate's start date.

Location Requirements

The position will primarily work onsite in Elizabeth City, NC.

Compensation

Expected Salary: $75,000 - $80,000
