Title: Revenue Recognition Analyst - Pre-IPO SaaS
Synonymous Title: Revenue Recognition Analyst
Location: Dallas, TX or Scottsdale, AZ preferred, though this is a virtual role.

Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated Revenue Recognition Analyst to join our finance organization at Blue Yonder. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reviewing customer contracts and providing revenue guidance in compliance with revenue recognition standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in revenue recognition principles, experience in the software industry, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

What You'll Do:

  • Review drafts of customer agreements to identify revenue recognition issues

  • Document revenue recognition conclusions in the Salesforce Revenue Recognition Checklist

  • Work with revenue team to ensure appropriate set up of executed contracts into the accounting system, as needed

  • Assist with monthly and quarterly revenue reporting

  • Other ad hoc projects related to revenue recognition

What you're responsible for:

  • Timely completion of revenue recognition documentation in the revenue recognition checklist

  • Timely response to deal flow reviews

  • Formulating conclusions regarding revenue recognition treatment for complex, non-standard contracts

  • Providing clear written documentation of revenue conclusions

What we are looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred

  • 2+ years of revenue recognition experience

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and other accounting standards related to revenue recognition

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines

  • Experience with revenue recognition software is a plus

The salary range for this position is: $79,615.38 - $105,000.00 plus a 9% annual bonus.

The salary range information provided, reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual salary will be commensurate with skills, experience, certifications or licenses and other relevant factors. In addition, this role will be eligible to participate in either the annual performance bonus or commission program, determined by the nature of the position.
