Job Summary

Based in the Blue Yonder Dallas, Texas office and reporting to the Senior Director of Global Real Estate and Global Business Services in the UK, this role provides strong business services, real estate strategy, and administrative support on site and to the North America and LATAM regions. This role ensures the effective and efficient use of space, maintenance of properties, and compliance with security and safety regulations while optimizing costs. The Director role will collaborate with senior leadership to align real estate and facilities strategies with organizational goals. Ability to travel occasionally as required.

1. Strategic Planning and Management:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive strategies aligned with the company's objectives.

  • Oversee space planning, dispositions, office build-out projects, and regional lease negotiations.

  • Manage departmental policies, procedures and best practices aligned with global initiatives.

  • Manage regional budget and annual forecast to ensure cost-effective operations.

2. Operations Management:

  • Ensure the maintenance, safety, and security of all company properties and assets to a high standard.

  • Implement and manage third party vendor contracts such as cleaning, maintenance, and security and ensure competitive pricing.

  • Management of the conference rooms to ensure they are readily available to eligible user groups, and that the furnishings, fixtures and equipment is maintained to an A+ standard.

  • Maintain a strong relationship with building management in the Americas region.

  • Conduct on-going review/assessment of existing procedures and policies to identify efficiency and best practice opportunities that reduce cost and increase the overall value to Blue Yonder and its associates.

  • Provide ad hoc support for global initiatives and specific projects.

3. Compliance and Safety:

  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including building codes and environmental laws.

  • Implement and maintain approved workplace safety and security programs, including fire/life/safety, first-aid supplies, safety training programs and building evacuation requirements.

  • Oversee risk management and emergency preparedness programs.

  • Manage security procedures aligned with Blue Yonder's physical access to offices policy.

4. Team Leadership and Development:

  • Lead and manage the Americas Global Business Services team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

  • Provide training and development opportunities for team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.

  • Management of absence, talent calibration, goal setting and ongoing development plans.

  • Evaluate team performance and implement strategies for improvement.

5.Sustainability Initiatives:

  • Assist the Blue Yonder Sustainability team to develop and implement sustainability initiatives to reduce the company's environmental footprint.

  • Promote energy efficiency, waste reduction, and the use of sustainable materials in Blue Yonder offices.

Requirements and Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Real Estate, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • A Master's degree or professional certifications (e.g., CPM, FMP, or RPA) is preferred.

  • Current first aid certificate or willingness to certify.

Experience:

  • A minimum of 15 years of experience in facilities management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

  • Proven track record of managing large, complex, global, real estate portfolios and facilities operations.

Skills:

  • Strong strategic thinking and planning skills.

  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities.

  • Professional, confident approach with strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills to interact at all levels.

  • Knowledge of safety regulations, building codes, and environmental laws.

  • Ability to manage budgets and financial planning.

  • Capable of working with minimal supervision.

  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.

The salary range for this role is $138,000.00 to $168,000.00.

The salary range information provided, reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual salary will be commensurate with skills, experience, certifications or licenses and other relevant factors. In addition, this role will be eligible to participate in either the annual performance bonus or commission program, determined by the nature of the position.
