Project Coordinator, CAD

The CAD Coordinator must have a comprehensive understanding of all requirements, for proposed fiber plant plans, to ensure approval from any required permitting agency, as well as for construction use in the field. They will also be reviewing any contractor work for accuracy.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:



  • Able to identify and improve CAD data documentation and integrity.
  • Responsible for coordinating with Design/Engineering/Construction firms to ensure all required documentation has been received.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all Uniti standards are adhered to, with all outside firms that produce Uniti plans for design, construction, permitting, as-built, etc.
  • Responsible for Uniti designed plans data management within Salesforce and Egnyte.
  • Responsible for QA/QC of contracted CAD work received for documentation.
  • Coordinate with Uniti field personnel to ensure that all CAD plan requirements are met.
  • Ability to develop basic to advanced understanding and operation of CAD systems.
  • Knowledge of how to update CAD templates.
  • Ensure contracted CAD routes are accurately depicted in NetDesigner.
  • Responsible for reviewing proposed fiber plant CAD plans to obtain permits and distribute for field implementation.
  • Effectively communicate between Network teams to ensure CAD objectives meet or exceed Uniti standards.
  • Conduct team meetings to stay apprised of projects and reporting.
  • Able to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Capable of identifying and developing CAD Coordinator skill sets based on telecom industry standards.
  • Candidate should be organized, detail oriented, and have exceptional time management skills.

Education and/or Experience:



  • Minimum 2 years applicable experience.
  • Appropriate training and/or degree.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Fiber Plant Design.
  • Ability to manage the daily work schedules for a team.
  • Salesforce, Autodesk, Word and basic computer skills are required.

  • Ability to read effectively from a computer screen, sampling device and/or a paper copy.

  • Ability to work multiple tasks in a stressful environment while maintaining a positive and pleasant manner with others.
  • Ability to handle a large volume of work and perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced office environment.
  • Ability to travel up to 20%.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, holidays, and weekends.
