Foth is currently seeking an innovative and results-driven Civil Engineering Project Manager focused on client relations and project management to lead a team in Columbia, SC .
Foth's Aviation team supports both Commercial and General Aviation clients across the Southeast and Midwest, providing civil engineering and construction solutions for their airside and landside projects. Projects include improvements and upgrades to various airport infrastructure, including utilities, runways, taxiways, and terminal facilities. You will be an integral part of providing essential solutions critical to the future and long-term sustainability for commercial airports in South Carolina and other Foth aviation clients.
Additionally, you will lead a team serving not only this client but other clients across the Aviation team. You will help facilitate the development and implementation of Aviation Market business strategies and operating plans in coordination with business unit leadership, operational leadership, client managers, and project managers.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Lead aviation business development efforts in the Carolinas
  • Develop and maintain key client and regulatory relationships while promoting Foth in the market sector
  • Strategize with Market and Division leaders to develop specific client business plans
  • Lead technical engineering, quality assurance/control, and engineering project activities focused on the design of airport systems and infrastructure
  • Work to deliver projects within budget, on schedule, and in accordance with contractual commitments.
  • Assist with contract review on key projects to help ensure risk management, proper staffing, quality reviews and resolution of claims
  • Serve as a resource to Foth project managers and engineers on aviation projects company-wide throughout the design and construction process
  • Develop technical reports, feasibility studies, and engineering designs
  • Establish project objectives and provide performance feedback for project team members
  • Lead owner/representative construction services
  • Ensure that design standards and processes align with applicable federal, state and Foth standards
  • Assist with recruiting efforts through networking and providing referrals
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • Professional Engineer license in South Carolina or ability to obtain license within one year of hire
  • Minimum of five (5) years demonstrated experience in aviation engineering consulting industry with senior engineering design responsibilities directly related to aviation
  • Demonstrated experience in project management or managing a team of design engineers
  • Experience in construction observation and construction administration
  • Aviation design experience and knowledge of FAA design standards
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of experience in engineering consulting with proven ability to develop client relationships
