TSC is seeking a Quality Engineer, in Fayetteville NC This position supports the Airborne Solutions and ISR (AISR) Division

Responsibilities:

Creates and maintains relevant Quality documentation as part in compliance with AS9100D. Determines if current methods and techniques result in meeting reliability standards or require modification. Develops, modifies, applies and maintains quality evaluation and control systems and protocols for processing materials. Performs calculations to determine angles, tolerances, dimensions and other measurements in accordance with engineering specifications and other quality requirements. Collaborates with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place. Devises and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of parts and production equipment. Designs, captures and analyzes inspection and testing processes, mechanisms and equipment; conducts quality assurance tests; and performs statistical analysis to assess the cost of and determine the responsibility for, products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications. Ensures that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and that documentation is compliant with requirements.

Travel requirements - 25% on average

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or other technical field of study with minimum 3 years of experience
  • Strong knowledge of AS9100D Requirements and Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Ability to analyze data to determine root cause and manage Root Cause Corrective action process
  • Experience working with engineering, customer service, supply chain, and quality to resolve quality issues in a timely manner
  • Proficient in reading drawings and generating techniques to obtain required tolerances, measurements and pass/fail criteria
  • Experience entering and reviewing Engineering Change Orders (ECO)
  • Frequently requires vision abilities to include close, distance, depth perception, and telling the difference between colors, repeat same hand, arm and finger motion many times to include finger and hand dexterity and the ability to stand for long periods.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Aerospace Industry experience (Commercial or DoD)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills, including data analysis and problem solving
  • Strong attention to detail
