Schedule Weekly Hours: 40We are looking for a motivated and passionate individual to join our vision services team at the Gundersen Winona Eye Clinic! This position will focus on providing technical assistance to the eye practice by assisting the physician with appointments and diagnostic testing. No vision or eye experience is needed. All training for this role will be provided! Job Description:The Ophthalmic Technician I is responsible for providing quality ophthalmic patient care under the direction of an Ophthalmologist or Optometrist in accord with standard organizational policies and procedures. Provides a technical assistance to the eye practice thereby increasing appointment availability. Assists the physician in performing routine eye exams and preliminary diagnostic testing procedures and evaluations. Major Responsibilities: 5. Witness waste of controlled substances with authorized staff in the state of Wisconsin.Will not witness waste in Minnesota and Iowa, both states require licensed individuals or registered pharmacy technician staff only to witness the waste of controlled substances.
