Job Description:Provide professional oversight of design and construction projects. Responsibilities include budgeting, planning, designing, pricing, directing and managing construction and occupancy while meeting appropriate regulatory standards within corporate policy. Manages project personnel, resources, supplies and equipment in the department and promotes collaboration with internal and external customers. Reviews proposed project and with Manager of department is able to evaluate the project and how it fits into the strategic plans for the organization. Responsible for leading multiple projects of medium complexity within the constraints of scope, quality, time and cost to deliver specified requirements and meet customer satisfaction. Major Responsibilities: 1. Works with project owner or project sponsor to develop cost effective project plans, deliverables, schedules, budgets, measures of success. 2. Works with Manager and Director of department to provide recommendations regarding the annual Capital Budget. Within the budget evaluates department construction requests for priority, feasibility, cost, need, future considerations and related expenses under the direction of Administration. 3. Serves as the liaison between Project Owner, internal stakeholders, and external contractors, designers and vendors to ensure effective scheduling, communication, budgeting and project success 7. Takes leadership role on multiple projects ranging from single department to multiple, integrated systems, services, and initiatives. 8. Interprets analyses and converts data into useable information (identify the data necessary to establish the baseline and measure the change). 9. Responsible for providing design and planning to areas requiring remodeling. Considers any applicable regulations and codes, and ensures code compliance. 10. Scheduling contractors for estimating and bidding construction. 11. Coordinates construction and facilitates the occupancy of the space by scheduling all work with contractors and staff. Identified project stakeholders and the project team. Clarifies team roles and responsibilities. 12. Conducts regular project reviews and reports the status of projects in both formal and informal settings to team members, sponsors, and stakeholders. Is proactive in the identification and resolution of issues that may impact a project or project deliverables; and seeks innovative ways to remove project obstacles. 13. Monitors appropriate project milestone metrics and adjusts plan accordingly. 14. Maintains accurate records and files of each construction project, obtains approval and tracks all changes in project parameters and schedules. Monitors all construction projects for code compliance. 15. Ensures satisfactory transfer of the project outcomes along with the appropriate documentation to the project sponsor. Debrief with project team and document significant learning's. 16. Close all project documentation, via inspections, and archive appropriate records. 17. Collaborate with other members of the Project Management Office, share knowledge, problem-solve, and serve as back up for each other. Education and Learning: REQUIRED Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, facilities management, or related field DESIRED Master's degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, facilities management, or related field Work Experience: REQUIRED 2-4 years of experience in progressively responsible work in design and construction project management Minimum of 2 years of healthcare specific design and construction management.
