Job Description:The Vision Services Program Manager is responsible for the retail business functions of the Vision Services department. This professional will partner with the Administrative Director of Vision Services and the department Clinical Managers in this effort. The Program Manager will provide financial performance oversight and analysis of all retail optical operations, including the eyeglass, contact lens and industrial eyewear business lines. This professional will provide Vision Services project management, develop financial forecasts for new programs or services and support new service evaluations with market research. The Program Manager will be responsible for identification of opportunities for operational efficiencies and development of budgets in the optical business lines. This professional will continuously improve and monitor a Vision Services dashboard that is shared regularly with medical leadership and staff. The Program Manager is responsible for collaborating with Marketing Department on Vision Services initiatives, initiating and overseeing optical operations quality improvement projects, including patient and customer satisfaction and both internal and external quality reports. Major Responsibilities: 1. Develops systems for financial analysis, variance reporting, dashboards/benchmarking, budgeting (cost centers, programs, new initiatives, regional sites) to enhance efficiency and planning. 2. Completes business case analysis and return on investment for the Vision Services projects and programs as well as for additional staff due to process changes and/or growth in existing optical business lines and additional department projects as needed. 3. Financially evaluates and conducts market research regarding the development of new programs and services. 4. Collaborates with Marketing Department while implementingVision Services and Gundersen Health System Corporate business initiatives as they relate to Vision Services initiatives. 5. Maintains effective business relationships with external vendors and directs ongoing analysis of suppliers, costs, product lines and quality. 6. Completes business analysis to ensure appropriate utilization of resources, assures adequate staffing and coordinates coverage with all Vision Services retail optical operations. Coordinates issues related to FTE budget, position control, payroll and timekeeping, assures staff compliance with training, education and licensure data, in cooperation with the Clinical Managers. 7. Ensures compliance with regulatory standards (Joint Commission), GundersenHealth Systempolicies and procedures, confidentiality standards, practice guidelines, and standards of care. 8. Develops and expands an effective and productive business and industrial eyewear program throughout the region served by the Vision Services department. 9. Supports and implements GundersenHealth Systemorganizational and departmental mission and strategic plans. 10. Fosters positive working relationships and promotes collaborative practice within the team and with other departments. 11. Pursues relevant educational opportunities to maintain or enhance professional knowledge and meet team/department needs. 12. Provides other job-related duties as assigned by the department and section chairs and the department Administration Director. 13. Adheres to regular and predictable attendance.
