Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Job Description:Weekly Schedule: 3pm to 11:30pm Monday through Friday Rotating Call Position Title: Radiologic Technologist Last Reviewed: 02-10-2021 Salary Class: Department: Medical Imaging Position Code: 4715 Reports To: Medical Imaging Manager BASIC FUNCTION: Under the direction of the medical imaging manager with limited supervision and general directions, performs high quality radiographic exams and procedures to aide in medical diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES Works with Gundersen Moundview Hospital and Clinic patients and families to provide compassionate, individualized care in the provision of radiology services. Understands and applies the concepts of radiography when performing patient exams. SCOPE OF THE JOB Age Specific Population Served: Infant (less than 1 year) Pediatric (1 - 12 years) Category I - All Employees in this job title have a reasonably anticipated risk of occupational exposure to blood and/or other potentially infectious materials. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Education and Learning: Required: Post High School education in a specialized field: Graduate of an accredited American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) school of Radiologic Technology Work Experience: Required: 1 year of experience in healthcare/hospital setting preferred. Must have the flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and on-call duty as scheduled Desired: Epic EMR, CT and/or Mammography experience preferred. Skills and Knowledge: Required Reasoning/Decision Making Must be flexible Communication Communicates with ease on a professional level General - All Positions Work cooperatively with a wide variety of people License and Certifications: Required: American Registry of Radiologic Technology Registered Technologist-Radiography (ARRT) Licensed Radiographer with the State of Wisconsin (LICRAD-WI) Desired: Mammography and/or CT certification from American Registry of Radiologic Technology Registered Technologist (ARRT) PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/DEMANDS OF THE POSITION Sitting Rarely (1-5% or .5 hours) ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS Subject to inside environmental conditions.
