The Regional Credit Manager (RCM) is to support sales efforts by maximizing customer profitability while minimizing the risk of accounts receivable (A/R) loss. The RCM will be responsible for providing credit risk analysis for the assigned region of CE total Customer Credit Portfolio. Key responsibilities include identifying, gathering, analyzing, and interpreting relevant credit and financial information for both existing and prospective customers.



  • Ensure that the credit portfolios meet regional and corporate A/R goals, focusing on maximizing the speed and ease of cash collections while minimizing delinquencies, days sales outstanding (DSO), bad debt losses, and collection costs.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of all customer account activities from order placement through cash collection.
  • Identify process issues that lead to repeated payment delays or deductions and recommending and implementing "order to cash" process improvements to enhance customer satisfaction and improve payment and profit performance.
  • RCM will maintain a detailed knowledge of all customer account activity from order through cash collection.
  • Take a lead role in the escalation of collection issues that are approaching 90 days past due; review weekly past due reports to coach and provide guidance to Credit team.
  • Collaborate with customers and Branches, Sales team to diffuse difficult order hold issues.
  • Lead a team of Credit Managers and Credit Analysts, providing guidance, training, and performance management.

Qualifications



  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a credit management role is required.
  • Strong understanding of credit risk assessment, credit scoring models, and financial statement analysis.
  • Excellent leadership skills with a track record of effectively managing and developing a high-performing team.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to make sound decisions in complex situations.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in financial software (e.g., ERP systems, credit scoring tools) and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting.
  • Detail-oriented and analytical mindset.
  • Results-driven with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Integrity and a commitment to ethical business practices.
  • Knowledge of the construction lien law for assigned region is required.
