Warehouse Associate Location: Knoxville TN Full-Time (with great benefits package) Objective The Warehouse Associate is responsible for the day-to-day warehouse upkeep, including picking and verifying orders, loading, and unloading of products, and inventory control using warehouse equipment and state of the art technology. The warehouse associate is responsible for accurately receiving, storing, and distributing HVAC products, ensuring timely and efficient operations within the warehouse. This role requires strong organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Duties and Responsibilities
- Receiving and Inspection:
- Receive incoming HVAC products, verifying accuracy against purchase orders or
delivery manifests.
- Inspect products for damages, defects, or discrepancies and report any issues to
the appropriate personnel.
- Organize and label received items, ensuring proper storage and easy retrieval.
- Inventory Management:
- Maintain accurate inventory records of HVAC products using computerized
systems.
- Perform regular inventory counts to reconcile stock levels and identify
discrepancies.
- Monitor stock levels and assist in inventory replenishment to ensure product availability.
- Order Fulfillment:
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Utilize warehouse management systems and equipment (such as forklifts or pallet
jacks) to move, load, and unload products safely.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient order processing and
timely shipment.
- Warehouse Organization and Maintenance:
- Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and free from obstructions to ensure a safe
working environment.
- Maintain proper storage conditions for HVAC products, adhering to industry
standards.
- Assist in periodic equipment maintenance and report any malfunctions or safety
hazards.
- Quality Control and Documentation:
- Conduct regular quality control checks on HVAC products to ensure compliance
with specifications.
- Maintain accurate documentation of product movements, inspections, and
inventory records.
- Assist in implementing and following standard operating procedures (SOPs) to
ensure consistent quality and efficiency. Required Qualifications
- Proven commitment to customer service and a safe work environment
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling products, paperwork, and data entry.
- Proficient in using computerized inventory management systems and basic office
software.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and perform repetitive
tasks.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with colleagues and provide
exceptional customer service. Preferred Qualifications
- 6 months warehouse experience
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand tools
safely and efficiently.
- HVAC/R experience preferred
- additional certifications or training in warehouse operations is a plus.
