This position will focus on providing technical assistance to the eye practice by assisting the physician with appointments and diagnostic testing. Job Description:The Ophthalmic Technician I Float is responsible for providing quality ophthalmic patient care under the direction of an Ophthalmologist or Optometrist in accord with standard organizational policies and procedures. Provides a technical assistance to the eye practice thereby increasing appointment availability. Assists the physician in performing routine eye exams and preliminary diagnostic testing procedures and evaluations. Major Responsibilities: 5. Witness waste of controlled substances with authorized staff in the state of Wisconsin.Will not witness waste in Minnesota and Iowa, both states require licensed individuals or registered pharmacy technician staff only to witness the waste of controlled substances. 6. Adheres to regular and predictable attendance.
