MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

Bachelor's degree required.

Certification/Registration/Licensure:

CBP, CEBS preferred

Experience:

5+ years benefits experience. Healthcare, Workday and Infor preferred.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Oversees development and administration of qualified and non-qualified benefit programs in compliance with regulatory agencies and plan documents. Analyzes market trends and new legislative requirements for impact on current benefits. Analyzes and monitors costs/benefits associated with benefit programs. Develops and implements retirement benefit communication plans and SOPs. Evaluates and monitors effectiveness of benefit programs including cost and employee engagement and satisfaction.

To be successful in this role, the Retirement Manager must possess deep technical expertise in benefits, strong financial acumen, communications and people leadership experience, along with a commitment to accountability. They must be a proven strategic thinker capable of leading change at the operational and strategic levels. They must be highly motivated, committed to the development of their team, have a passion for designing high-quality and innovative benefits solutions, and have a deep interest in building collaborative cross-functional relationships. Decision-making skills must be decisive yet grounded in flexibility and practicality, and data-driven curiosity.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develops annual retirement and savings benefits budget and accrual. Provides input to and manages changes to the annual operating budget on regular basis

  • Prepares, communicates and educates on changes in benefits, policies and practices within the organization

  • Innovates and suggests improvements and changes in retirement plans and financial well-being programs

  • Measures and assesses effectiveness and success of the retirement benefits offered to help drive design, innovation, as well as effective employee communication campaigns

  • Ensures the highest level of compliance with IRS, ERISA and other federal laws and regulations that govern U.S. retirement plans

  • Manages and chairs the organizational administrative committees which have fiduciary and governance responsibilities over the retirement plans

  • Provides plan metrics, compliance information and recommendations around program changes to senior executives and the governing committees

  • Works cross-functionally with Communications team to create communication and education strategies and plans that help employees understand and take best advantage of retirement and financial well-being benefits

  • Manages accuracy of legal retirement plan documents against administrative processes and employee facing communication to ensure compliance

  • Ensures stakeholders, including senior leaders are informed of new and pending legislation, regulations and reporting requirements that affect the retirement plans and the participants in those benefits

  • Assesses, benchmarks and holds service providers accountable to delivery of services and contractual provisions

  • Works cross-functionally with broader Total Rewards, Partner Resources, Legal, Tax, Payroll, Technology, Accounting & Finance teams to ensure that the development, administration, communication, changes to programs, impacts on costs and opportunities uncovered are fully vetted

  • Coordinate and engage with ERISA attorney, investment consultants and other professionals as needed to support plan compliance

  • Provides strategic guidance and expertise around technology needs and data flow requirements to support programs

  • Oversees and develop strong people management skills

  • Develops and utilizes strong communication skills

  • Direct and coordinate projects

  • Organizational Leadership -- Provides leadership and accomplishes objectives by ensuring the integration of processes and initiatives while modeling collaboration. Participates and supports brand/service delivery teams as requested.

  • Maintains accountability for implementation of requirements of regulatory agencies

  • Serves as liaison to the community
