Bellin and Gundersen Health System (Soon to be Emplify Health), a large and growing health system, is seeking a Human Resources Compliance Specialist to join our dynamic HR team to fill a critical role in maintaining a fair and equitable work environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive compliance policies and procedures to mitigate risks and ensure adherence to legal requirements.

  • Provide guidance and training to employees and managers on compliance matters, fostering a culture of compliance throughout the organization.

  • Develop and facilitate compliance related training and communications to staff.

What You Will Need:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field

  • 5+ years of extensive experience with healthcare compliance, project management, and HR employment law.

  • Familiarity with maintaining and developing compliance plans

  • Strategic and forward-thinking approach

  • Hybrid eligible position, ability to work onsite for meetings and events as needed in the La Crosse and Green Bay, WI areas.

Job Description:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Learning:

REQUIRED

Bachelor's degree in human resource management or related field.

Certification/Registration/Licensure:

N/A

Work Experience:

REQUIRED

Minimum of 5 years extensive experience with healthcare industry compliance, project management, and Human Resource employment law.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Ensures the organization and employees for the enterprise comply with relevant internal and external regulations, policies, and standards. Responsible for auditing, developing, implementing and reporting on compliance plans. Provide training and advice to leadership and staff on compliance matters.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Major Responsibilities

  • Research changes in laws and regulations. Analyze the impact on the organization. Communicate findings to stakeholders.

  • Works with key stakeholders across the HR teams to communicate requirements associated with compliance programs.

  • Responsible for drafting policy, process and procedure to improve on the compliance position of the organization.

  • Monitor and ensure most recent and correct policies and procedures are available.

  • Responsible for preparing and delivering compliance-related training and communications to employees.

  • Develop and implement improvement plans. Partner with leaders and teams on how to improve continuously.

  • Identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk. Develop action plans for mitigation.

  • Coordinates and conducts timely process to ensure staff maintains current job requirements to include license (professional/technical), registration and certification as appropriate.

  • Develop audit parameters and conduct comprehensive audits to ensure compliance with applicable state and federal HR regulations. Complete organization wide internal and external audits, including providing consulting services, conducting and/or overseeing of audits for the enterprise, for the purpose of monitoring and detecting any misconduct or non-compliance.

  • Analyzing data and reporting on metrics for compliance planning.

  • Adheres to regular and predictable attendance.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.
