Linen Assistant

Schedule Weekly Hours:

Join our Laundry / Linen team...

This full-time role will provide high-volume support in the laundrylinen department for hospital and long-term care. The hours are Monday through Friday from 5:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m., also requires working holidays.

Under the Supervision of the laundry supervisor, the linen assistant will process clean linens using folding and ironing machinery and fold and sort various linens.

Major Responsibilities:

1. Feed linens through appropriate linen folding equipment.

2. Hand folds and sorts various linens.

3. Remove folded linen from conveyor and place on appropriate exchange carts.

4. Prepare scrub uniform exchange carts according to specified quotas.

5. Answer telephone and take linen orders.

6. Sort clean surgery linens.

7. Turn sleeves and lay out surgeon's gowns.

8. Adheres to regular and predictable attendance.

9. Performs other job-related duties as directed.
