Description

This position is responsible for accurately receiving internal work orders into our ERP system, and placing them in the proper finished goods area. Packing product to our specifications, loading and unloading trucks. Learning the shipping manifesting, printing labels and putting them on the proper boxes for that orders via our ERP system and the carriers website.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.



  • Preparing daily shipments.
  • Supporting Administrative, production, and engineering.
  • Communicate with customers.
  • Documentation management.
  • Parts ordering.
  • Respond to and help resolve logistics complaints and problems.
  • Keep up to date on shipping carriers, routes and rates and any changes to them.
  • Execute logistics, plan to ship the products and packages to reach the destinations on schedule.
  • Plan freight shipments, review freight rates and other transportation costs to keep working costs low.
  • Maintains quality throughout the logistic processes.
  • Work with company peers to align on best practice and processes.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or requested occasionally.


Specialized Requirements:



  • Have the ability to professionally communicate with customers
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
  • Be organized, on time, and productive
  • Looking for a candidate with a background (2+ years) in one of the below fields- Shipping and Receiving, Parts Ordering, Inventory Management, or Logistics.
  • Must be reliable.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to details
  • Quality management skills
  • Knowledge of logistics systems, understanding of transportation limitations and regulations
  • Experience in CRM and ERP tools is required
  • Enjoys working in a team-based environment
  • Able to switch between physical and administrative tasks
  • Sitting, standing, bending. Ability to lifting/lowering or pushing/pulling up to 20 pounds without wheels or assistance


QUALIFICATIONS:

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be substituted for the expected levels of education and experience required.

Education and/or Experience:

Expected: High School Diploma or Equivalent.

Expected: Shipping/warehouse computer software experience.

Must have prior shipping manifesting experience 3+ years.

Communication Skills:



  • Must be able to clearly understand material tracking documents and communicate verbally with line personnel on a daily basis.
  • Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.


Other Skills:



  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
  • Interpersonal skills.
  • Computer data entry skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficient use of a 10-key calculator.
