Description

The Lean Manager will be responsible for all essential functions related to developing and maintaining a strong Lean culture, tools, and metrics at the Florham Park facility. This role partners with functional and project teams to deliver understanding and execution of Lean Methodology throughout all areas of the business. This position will lead the development and implementation of new Lean initiatives and will be a key facilitator of continuous improvement within the business. Reporting directly to the Site Leader, this role will lead the Nuclear Medicine Business through their ongoing Lean Journey. Position is onsite.

Key Areas of Responsibilities:



  • Develop, lead, and sustain a Lean Transformation within the Florham Park facility
  • Operate as the business Lean expert, championing all Mirion Business System related functions.
  • Teach, promote, and practice lean principles and tools.
  • Establish and maintain lean standards for visual management, 5S, daily management, etc. through the front line of the organization.
  • Champion Kaizen Events that impact product flow, production to TAKT, and inventory turns.
  • Support lean initiatives, including value stream mapping and kaizens, to improve process quality and create capacity by reducing cycle time, inventory, and waste.
  • Create Standardized Work Instructions, layouts, and process flow diagrams.
  • Facilitate functional teams in improving process flow by implementing visual management tools and methods to pull product through the work cells.
  • Apply Lean Six Sigma tools to improve process capability and eliminate defects.
  • Coach teams using focused improvement tools and problem solving.
  • Workplace Organization - including 5S, Std. Work, and Golden Zone
  • Identify potential process improvement projects and execute on areas of opportunities to support facilities and product groups in supporting their customer(s).
  • Create a Lean and CI training program to distribute throughout the organization.


Qualifications, Skills & Experience:



  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Supply Chain, or related technical field.
  • B.A. or other advanced technical degree strongly preferred..
  • 5+ years of successful lean implementation experience with proven record of sustainable results.
  • Experience with Lean Transformation, Lean Implementation and Change Management.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt required. Black Belt preferred.
  • Strong leadership in executing continuous improvement efforts and enabling efficiency, effectiveness, and tangible financial benefit.
  • Experience working in or implementing Toyota Production System or comparable Continuous Improvement methodology.
  • Have demonstrable experience in fundamental lean tools and concepts (VSM, 5S, Std Work, Continuous Flow, Kaizen, etc.).
  • Strong ability to communicate and relate to employees at all levels of the organization and craft communication accordingly.
  • Strong relationship-building skills, including collaborating closely with senior executives.
  • Highly analytical, excels at breaking down problems and delivering actions.
  • Must have broad business knowledge and the ability to link customer needs with business processes.
  • Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Self-starter, capable of driving meaningful impact and high energy in any environment.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
