Description

Mirion Technologies is looking for mid-level Development Operations or Systems Engineer with a strong understanding of Cybersecurity principle, mitigating controls, and Patch Management to focus on OT to drive the execution of project-based design/build efforts. The position requires a hands-on, daily interaction with a growing team of intermediate to experienced engineers delivering COTS solutions to nuclear and other complex and critical infrastructures. The candidate will work primarily with the Secure Integrated Solutions (SIS) Division.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES



  • Continuously improve the performance, agility, and innovation in the project through the consistent execution and improvement of process or procedures.
  • Identify vulnerabilities, determine patch dependencies, and available patches.
  • Perform server and network deployment and management through the entire product delivery lifecycle while working with the Software and Hardware Engineering teams to prioritize deliverables and validate product functionalities.
  • Perform device patching & application maintenance including machine or application updates to support system wide patch and vulnerability management.
  • Changes/Updates to system configurations maintaining a high level of configuration management.
  • Identify objectives, perform execution, and follow programs and processes to ensure work is accomplished in accordance with budget and design requirements.
  • Perform system hardening.
  • Apply systems engineering, test, and verification principles.
  • Assist with testing activities on assigned project(s).
  • Driving the use and implementation of automation.
  • Engagement in cybersecurity and engineering solutions, practices, and delivery processes.
  • Execute COTS solution integrations through collaboration with cross-discipline engineering teams, including software, hardware, test, and systems engineers.
  • Collaborate with peers for knowledge management, information sharing, and consistency of engineering processes and solutions across the organization.
  • Execution of tasks on active projects and communication of task related status and challenges.
  • Contribute to the development of engineering cost estimates to customer requirements.
  • Participate in direct customer communications regarding program issues.
  • Follow all SIS ISO, CMMI, and software engineering processes, policies, and procedures in performing day to day activities on assigned project(s).
  • Ensure assigned tasks are completed on schedule and with high customer satisfaction.
  • Establish effective communications and working relationships with internal and external customers under the guidance of management team on assigned project(s).
  • Acquire knowledge of SIS Security Systems products and services.



BASIC QUALIFICATIONS



  • Requires a bachelor's degree in the appropriate discipline or 3 to 5 years' experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good presentation skills with the ability to present to a technical audience.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE security clearance.
  • Plus be willing and able to support up to 75% travel to customer sites.



DESIRED EXPERIENCE



  • Experience in project-based work with requirements driven deliverables.
  • Networking protocols and small to mid-sized network design.
  • VMware Vsphere clusters.
  • Nuclear communications systems and terminology.
  • CISSP or equivalent preferred.
  • Knowledge of NEI 08-09 or NIST based assessment and control requirements.
  • Requirements based analysis, design, build using a Standard V-Model approach to Systems Engineering.
  • NESSUS vulnerability management.
