At HDR, our employee-owners are fully engaged in creating a welcoming environment where each of us is valued and respected, a place where everyone is empowered to bring their authentic selves and novel ideas to work every day. As we work to weave diversity, equity, and inclusion into our work and foster a sense of belonging throughout the company and within our communities, we constantly ask ourselves: What is our impact on the world? HDR is an architectural, engineering and consulting firm that excels at complex projects and solving challenges for clients. HDR has over 12,000 professionals including architects, engineers, consultants, scientists, planners and construction managers in over 225 locations worldwide, pooling their solutions beyond the scope of traditional A/E/C firms. HDR is looking for an Indiana Environmental Team Leader to help us grow our environmental practice in Indiana, and to join our Indianapolis office. We're looking for a person who wants to take their NEPA and permitting skills to the next level by directing medium-large size projects, leading and mentoring younger staff, preparing proposals and developing clients. If you have prior experience working on projects with Indiana DOT and/or Illinois DOT, that is a plus. The ideal candidate knows the Indiana transportation market, understands Indiana DOT NEPA processes, has knowledge of Indiana regulatory agencies and permitting requirements, and can demonstrate public participation and agency coordination experience. This Senior level candidate would also help develop proposals and contract fees, manage projects or environmental tasks including scope, budget and schedule, and guide less experienced staff to task completion. The position will require client and stakeholder meetings and site visits. As our Indianapolis office is one of several HDR offices in the Indiana and Illinois area, you must be able to work with colleagues in other locations, and you'll also have opportunities to work with other HDR offices across the country on exciting projects! Some periodic, out of state travel may be required. Preferred Qualifications
