Primary Responsibilities

In the role of Electrical Engineer we'll count on you to:
* Coordinate work of the electrical design team on medium/Large infrastructure projects through the schematic design development and contract document phase of a project
* Establish meetings and participate in reviews with various governing agencies for code compliance
* Coordinate workload to complete tasks on schedule
* Conduct inspections and surveys at the project site either independently or in conjunction with other disciplines, client or project manager
* Develop construction staging plans and cost estimates
* Write/edit electrical specifications and select equipment, electrical systems and devices
* Coordinate with and assist affected disciplines with addenda, RFIs, CPRs and change orders, and take responsibility to incorporate agreed-upon changes into the project documents
* Provide construction contract administration as needed
* Conduct QA/QC on the work of other Electrical Engineers, Electrical Coordinators or Technicians
* Perform other duties as needed, and some travel may be required.

* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
* PE is required
* 5 years experience in electrical design of electrical power distribution, motor controls, PLC and relay controls, and variable speed drives
* Strong computer skills, MicroStation, AutoCAD, Revit, Microsoft Office and electrical design software
* An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
* Candidates who reside locally in the NY/NJ area are preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm desired
