This position is subject to the successful completion of an employment background check. Primary Purpose of Organization Unit |
Established in 2000, the Office for Regional Initiatives exists to provide and facilitate services to the community and region that enhance the educational experiences of students; support workforce development; and expand UNCP's brand reputation and recognition through collaborative partnerships.
The Office for Regional Initiatives provides outreach services to the citizens, businesses, governments and nonprofit organizations throughout the region. These outreach services are executed in collaboration with academic programs to provide conference planning and implementation, continuing education, and youth enrichment programs. |

Job Description |

The Program Coordinator supports a range of activities related to the planning, development, and execution of programs in a self-sustaining unit.
Essential Functions
* Coordinates the planning, development, implementation and support of the University's continuing education programs;
* Works with business and industry to access needs and develop customized training;
* Prepares and implements a comprehensive marketing plan for continuing education;
* Oversees curriculum design, development, and implementation of noncredit courses and programs;
* Manages the planning, scheduling, budgeting and operational efficiency that results in profit;
* Maintains effective communication with administration, faculty and staff;
* Recruits and evaluates faculty and personnel for continuing education programs;
* Ensures compliance with the
UNC System Office guidelines, requirements and other state regulations;
* Collaborates with credit faculty to identify new continuing education courses and programs;
