Carnegie Mellon's Finance Division is seeking a Senior Accounts Payable Manager. In this role, you will supervise and lead the accounts payable team working cross functionally with other departments to ensure accurate, compliant, and timely invoice processing. You will work closely with Procurement to ensure strategic opportunities to inform, assess, and execute the procure-to-pay process. This role has a strong process and system focus and will require strong analytical and problem solving skills.
This position provides subject matter expertise and leadership for a team of AP professionals. In addition to being recognized as a thought leader on campus, this position requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record of implementing projects and providing innovative ideas that lead to industry best practices. The senior manager is responsible for providing Accounts Payable management support during various process improvements and system upgrades in addition to day to day operations of the accounts payable team including but not limited to activities such as month end/annual close, development, monitoring and enhancements against performance metrics, ensure compliance and managing the performance of team members. This individual is responsible for managing workflow, special projects, campus communications and training. This role will work in close partnership/have shared responsibility with Procurement in supplier management. Core responsibilities include:
