HDR is currently seeking a Bridge CAD/BIM Designer to join our team in Kansas City or St. Louis. In the role of Bridge CAD/BIM Designer, we'll count on you to: Prepare detailed drawings, layouts, and sketches for conventional concrete and steel bridges, retaining walls, and miscellaneous structures using computer-aided design software, primarily MicroStation. Develop details for complex concrete and steel bridges which may include: prestressed concrete, post-tensioned concrete, steel plate girder, segmental, and cable-stayed. Typical projects will be for highway bridge projects. Demonstrate ability to work independently with direction from supervisor and engineers. Attention to detail is highly desirable. Perform other duties as needed KEYWORDS: Bridge, Bridge Design, Bridges Preferred Qualifications Associate or technical school degree, or equivalent experience. A working knowledge of Microstation and AutoCAD. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to gather, organize, and interpret data. Ability and willingness to work cooperatively with project team members. Experience in structural drafting with MicroStation Experience interpreting as-built plans for existing structures. Technically oriented with the rudimentary thought process to visualize constructs in 3-dimensional space.
