The USC Caruso Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery of the Keck School of

Medicine is seeking to hire an audiologist as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Otolaryngology. This position will cover general audiological services including but not limiting to diagnostic hearing evaluations, auditory evoked potential tests, hearing aid fittings, and cochlear implant evaluations, activations, and programming. The work will involve primarily pediatric patients.

This person will join a vibrant group of adult and pediatric faculty audiologists within the Division of Audiology. This person will also work closely with all the physician faculty, including four otologists and one general otolaryngologist.

The ideal candidate should possess the following:

  • Master's or doctorate (Ph.D., AuD, or equivalent) from an accredited institution in audiology is required.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience of diagnostic testing and hearing rehabilitation with a diverse pediatric patient population.
  • California Dispensing Audiology license.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) or eligibility.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • A commitment to providing the highest standards of patient satisfaction.
  • Strong communication abilities and interpersonal skills that allow for effective interactions with diverse population of patients, families, and colleagues.
  • Strong hearing aid and cochlear implant programming experience.
  • The ability to be flexible and be a team player, and a willingness to work at any of our different satellite clinics as needed.
  • Fluency in Spanish or ASL strongly preferred.

The annual base salary range for this position is $115,600-$137,800. When extending an offer of employment, the University of Southern California considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, federal, state, and local laws, contractual stipulations, grant funding, as well as external market and organizational considerations.
