We are recruiting a full time Adolescent Medicine Specialist for the position of Clinical Assistant/ Associate/Professor of Pediatrics (Practitioner) to help develop our Eating Disorder Program at Children's Hospital Los Angeles, Department of Pediatrics/ Division of Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine at The University of Southern California, Keck School of Medicine. The Division of Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine at CHLA is one of the oldest in the country and has extensive clinical, educational and research programs. We currently have 14 faculty and over 100 staff and trainees participating in programs ranging from Homeless care, HIV prevention and care, gender affirmation program, mental health and substance use services, and a transition care program. We are also a LEAH funded educational site.

The new Eating Disorder Program at CHLA is being designed by an interdisciplinary team of leaders from USC and CHLA including Adolescent Medicine, psychiatry, psychology, nutrition, nursing, and social work. The program will start with the creation of an outpatient and intensive outpatient treatment program and the enhancement of our current inpatient refeeding program. Initially this position will dedicate 60% effort to the Eating Disorders program. Candidates will have the opportunity to leverage other interests for the remaining level of effort. The Adolescent Medicine program offers unique opportunities around reproductive health and gender care. Additionally, support for protected time can be provided for candidates with an interest or expertise in clinical/translational research. Candidates with appropriate education experience will have opportunity for leadership in our training programs.

Requirements:

Board certified or board eligible in adolescent medicine.

Clinical experience in Eating Disorders

Leadership skills in Eating Disorders and medical education highly desirable.
